Hi I know this isn't totally the right place, but noticed some related posts with people with the same issue, so wondering if anyone can help/fix this. I'm having a problem with one of these clone cameras - IPCAMERA ID002A. It was working a real pain to find the IP Address.but I couldn't get the SMTP or FTP Alarm/Motion Detect to work so I tried to upgrade the latest Cybernova firmware but it seems to be bricked/not visible on the network anymore! It's not working at all now. I can FTP to 192.168.1.111 but replacing the firmware as per Maygion's site doesn't seem to fix it. Tried quite a few versions.

Can't be seen on the network under the previous IP or over the DNS:-( Help! Might have to return this camera if I can't get it to work:-(. Do you have a copy of the original System firmware, that was working in some way?

Have you checked your Router/AP to see if it has assigned an IP Address for the camera? If you see nothing with #2? Have you used the reset button on the bottom of the IP Camera and held it down for 20 seconds, while the camera was powered up? You can use a bent paperclip to do this, if needed. You will need to connect the IP Camera via Ethernet cable and be required to re-configure the IP Camera, as if it just came out of the box, if you do this. Have you contacted support, where you purchased the IP Camera from and asked them, what you should do now? This site is a French site.

The link below, is using Google Translate to translate from French to English. Here are some details about your IP Camera model: 6. Worse case, you may need to follow a procedure like the one below, to recover your IP Camera. The procedure would not be the same as below, because your IP Camera uses a different Interface as a H.264 based camera: For Others: It's not a good idea to ever install System firmware for a IP Camera, that you know may or may not work. Unless you are able and willing to possibly be required to use procedures like Step #6 here, in order to try to recover, from what you have done. Especially more so, if you don't have some form of System firmware, that was working, in some way, in disk file form saved.

Prior to doing so. In many cases. You can contact support where you purchased the IP Camera from, ask them for the 'proper' current firmware for your IP Camera and also ask them for a copy of the current firmware version your IP Camera has ('If you don't already have a copy'). You will avoid much grief by doing that vs.

Deciding on your own, what to do, when you are not sure what to do. You will also then be able to fallback to the version of firmware you had in your IP Camera, if you decide you don't like the new version of firmware. Depending on who you purchased the IP Camera from, this concept of 'Help! Might have to return this camera if I can't get it to work:-(' may not work, in all cases.

Many IP Camera sellers, such as Foscam, have clear warranty statements, that if you trash your IP Camera, using unsupported firmware, you might not get your money back or a IP Camera replacement. Some sellers can easily tell that the IP Camera you returned, is not working, simply because improper firmware was loaded. It depends on the seller. So, please be beware of that.
