Attachments: I see a lot of interest in getting scoreboard data into Caspar Graphics. So far I do not see any attempt to take real time scoreboard data direct into Caspar. We have a universal solution to obtain the scoreboard data. It is obtained in real time and sent to Caspar via the Internet. Total latency is only the network connection. The data is offered in multiple formats. We have a C# library that delivers the data direct into your program or we can deliver it to a constantly updating XML file running on the client or server.

The system is accurate enough to display the main or play clock. The device that makes this connection we call a scorebot.

It is the device that attaches to the scoreboard controller and makes a connection to the Internet. Casper then connects and gets the data. We will offer a free scorebot to the first CasparCG developer who takes this data and makes it available for all. Once you receive the scorebot you must arrange to have it set up at a sports venue. An example of the xml data is attached in a pic. We will provide live scoreboard sample connections to anyone wanting to tackle the project. You can see examples of the interface in actions at.

Attachments: Please can you let me know the right contact at Caspar to discuss a potential business idea? I’m currently contract working at the BBC (project managing the Vizrt roll-out), and my background is mainly broadcast graphics over the past 15 years – Operational, Business Development and Sales, having worked at both Pixel Power and Vizrt. I saw a demo in BBC Wales the other week and was very impressed with what I saw! Cheers Scott. Could you > please post them in a forum thread instead? > I know the developers are looking at migrating from SourceForge to> GitHub to make it easier to contribute code to the project. My submission was very small and sending it by email would have been sufficient, but these crappy visual studio project files are recognized as binary data and thus cannot be diff'ed. So GitHub could be a good solution. I am out of the office until. Thank you for your message, as of December 21st 2012 I no longer work for QVC UK. Any queries related to projects formerly managed by myself should be directed to either Adam Marshall (adam.marshall@.) or Leo Smith (leo.smith@.)
